1. Highly-Educated and Professional Staff
   
   
   • All transcriptionists have medical backgrounds and on the average a minimum of two years work experience in the medical transcription field.
     
     
   • Senior editors have at least four (4) to five (5) years experience in medical transcription work.
     
     
   • Everyone from our supervisors down to our cleaners speaks English.
   
   
   
2. HIPAA-compliant Workflow and Policies
   
   
   • All transcription is done in-house and only in the operations area.
     
     
   • All access is limited to operations people on a need-to-know basis and all access is properly logged.
     
     
   • We do not release data except via the data host, wherein only the client physician can access them.
     
     
   • All data transmissions are encrypted using 128-bit SSL
     
     
   • All workstations are locked down. Only clients’ sites and sites that are registered with IT group will be accessible. All workstations are sealed, without floppy drives or CD rom drives. All USB ports and disabled. Therefore all data is transmitted only to and from the servers. This limits unauthorized access to data.
     
     
   • All employees are required to pass through a regular internal HIPAA Seminar to ensure compliance.
     
     
   • HIPAA seminars are given to every new employee and are given annually to all employees for refreshers and updates.
     
     
   • A HIPAA compliance officer is assigned to monitor the company/employees/vendors for compliance with HIPAA confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements.
     
     
   • Networks are kept secure. For example, only authorized Systems Administrators have access to servers. and server passwords are changed regularly.
     
     
   • Access to operations areas is severely limited, and all people entering and exiting the work area are logged in and out, regardless of executive position.
     
     
   • Security works 24/7 to secure physical premises and regulate access to and form the work areas. In addition there are remote-accessible CCTV’s to monitor the location.
