Approving User Requests for Subscription

Users can be added to the system by two ways:

• Users themselves can request to subscribe to a feed by going to the website and filling out the request form. The administrators can then simply approve or deny the request for subscription to the feed.
• Administrators can add users themselves.

When a user requests a subscription to a feed, the next time an administrator assigned to that feed logs into the IRIS administration console, the request will show up in the main Locations Control Page.

1. Log into the IRIS Administration Console. You will come to the Locations Control Page.
   
   
2. Click on the "X awaiting" link in the Pending Access column.
   
   
   
   
3. You will come to a list of users who have requested a subscription to various feeds in that location.
   
   
4. Approve users by checking the checkboxes associated with the users, then pressing the APPROVE button at the lower portion of the page.
   
   
5. Deny requests by checking the checkboxes associated with the users, then pressing the DENY button at the lower portion of the page.
