QuickStart to Viewing an Image Feed

In order to view an image feed, you must be subscribed to that feed. As a subscriber, you will have the following information ready:

1. Server name (e.g. http://www.rimlife.net)
2. Request (e.g. /NewRimLife/desktopinterface.do)
3. Username
4. Password

Once you have gotten the information above, start the RimLife IRIS Desktop Client.

1. The Desktop Client will start with a login dialog box open.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Feed in the main tool bar, scroll down, then click on Preferences.
   
   
   
   The Preferences Dialog Box will open. Go to the Server tab and enter the following information before clicking OK:

   Server - enter the server name given to you (e.g. http://www.rimlife.net)
   Port -enter 80 (unless told otherwise by your Administrator)
   Request - enter the request information given to you (e.g. /NewRimLife/desktopinterface.do)
   
   
   
   

3. Enter your username and password in the login dialog box, then press OK
